The Key to Making New Year Resolutions That Stick

Have you made resolutions year after year only to have them fall by the wayside by February? The key to making resolutions that stick are to make INTENTIONS instead!

Resolutions tend to focus on things that we deem are deficient in ourselves, where the focus of intentions is to deepen our relationships, live into our dreams and broaden our aspirations. This small but significant difference can be the key to reaching our goals this year.

Tips for Creating Intention

1. Choose a broad, less specific goal for an intention than you would for a resolution: For example, improving health, lowering stress or becoming more mindful or present.

2. Get specific about ways to achieve that intention. For example, using less technology, spending more time in nature or meditating.

3. Plan how to incorporate those efforts into your regular routines.

4. Use a journal to make note of your intentions and your successes as the year continues.

Join ETWD for a VISION MAPPING 2021 class on February 6th!

WITH AJEET KHALSA & NICOLE FEY

Join us for this fun, creative playshop to embark on the New Year with Purpose, Power and Intention!

We begin the workshop with a warm-up of yoga, creative movement and chanting, followed by a POWER OF PURPOSE exercise that will reveal to you your true intentions.

Then Ajeet leads us through creative visioning using collage and mind mapping for clarity and insight. The map gives tangible guidance for your action steps to co-create your purposeful path in the coming year. We manifest on the level of spirit first! Then it moves through our mental and emotional bodies before dropping into the physical level. We may not know how it will manifest, but we can set our intention for our desires.

What to have handy:
Plain paper, markers, colored pencils, paints, newspapers, glue stick and whatever else is calling to you.

Or if you prefer the simple approach, just bring paper and pencil. Everything works!

This workshop is $40 or by donation. We don't want finances to be a barrier. You may make a donation of whatever works for you.
